Have you ever thought of what it would feel like to sponsor an African child? Do you find your heart breaking every time you see kids overseas in low income countries not having clean drinking water, enough food to eat 3 meals a day on and the sad faces that you see every time they show the commercials that you would love to be able to sponsor a child each and every time that you see the commercial appear?
Many people would love to sponsor a child each and every time they hear of the sad, poor stories being told and see the sad look of despair in the child’s eyes but did you know that there are other ways that you can help out besides just to sponsor an African child?
Sure you can sponsor an African child by donating money each month to them, but do you really know where that money is going to? Is the money really making it to the child or being put in someone’s pocket?
To sponsor a child is easy because all you do is sign up and commit to donating so much money per month, week or year to that designated child or family which is a very common and popular way to feel like you are helping, but for many people to sponsor a child just isn’t enough.
Some people want to do more and another great way to get involved is to host an African child or to even adopt an African child.
The act of host an African child is by bringing them to your home for a brief period of time such as a school year, summer or other short period of time and let them stay in your home without committing to an indefinite period of time.
To adopt an African child on the other hand is taking a long term commitment so that you can give that African child a good, stable and loving home for the rest of their life or as long as they need to be in your care before they reach legal age to be on their own.
